Vertical Composition

This artwork is composed of three tall vertical elements that together form a single spatial composition. Each element has its own arrangement of geometric forms and colors, while relationships of proportion, rhythm, and alignment connect the three parts.

The strong vertical structure gives the artwork presence and direction. The intervals between the elements are an active part of the composition, allowing the wall and surrounding space to participate in the work rather than simply providing a background.

Warm ochre, orange, terracotta, and muted green are balanced by areas of pale blue, cream, black, and deep blue. Irregular geometric forms soften the vertical structure and create variation across the three elements.
